I am a 30 year radio and records professional. I found the Alt-Country/Americana scene in the early 90s when I heard Darden Smith and a group called The Bottle Rockets. Of course, back then I don't think we really knew what to call it or what it was, but I knew I LOVED it! From there it was just digging deeper and deeper in to the music. I really became involved in the late 90s when I went to work for Asylum Records and worked with Monte Warden. Monte turned me on to a whole new universe of artists and music and from there it has been my passion. I began working on Americana as a radio format around 1999 and began doing podcasts with this music in 2005. That's when I met Gregg Geil and ever since then he and I have been on a mission to get this music heard, this scene recognized and this movement pushed along.

Here's to Emugga being another step in that direction!
