Country Fried formed in New Orleans round the turn of the century through an effort to keep the good ole roots and outlaw country music alive. Starting out as mainly a cover band, Country Fried began writing songs of their own in that old style and haven't stopped, turning them into a mostly original, acoustic outlaw country rock band. Country Fried has played gigs with such heavy hitters as Jr. Brown, Shooter Jennings, Charlie Robison, The Gourds, The Jeff and Vida Band, and The Dewayne Brothers. No strangers to the road, you can catch Country Fried at festivals and clubs around the world. It's not new country, it's New Orleans country!
